Not sure what to say?

JD was a great Christian example to all of us that knew him. He was always checking on us and other people. We will miss him but heaven has bee blessed by his arrival.

J.D. was an inspirational co-worker to all of us at the Tyler Paper. When I worked with him, he always was so upbeat and kind and spread joy. We sure missed him a lot after he retired. The newspaper never was the same without him. He always made you feel that whatever you had to say was very important. Condolences and prayers.

Sherry and family,
I am so sorry about JD, I got to know him through Barb at the newspaper. He always had a big smile on his face. JD, was a Christian, friendly, a kind, thoughtful, willing to help anyone, and a good cook(that was from his posts on FB) man. I'd get a message from him on messenger and all it would say was "Hi". Sometimes a couple words more when I would use bad words. Where ever I would see him usually at the grocery store, he would always give me a big hug,...

We are heartbroken to hear about JD. What a special Christian gentleman he was!! He holds a special place in my heart for always standing with me in difficult times! Sherry and Brent we love you and are here for you anytime !
Much love,
Nelda and Jeff Regian

I only knew you a few short years, but you were one of the kindest people I have ever met... and one of the best 42 players this side of the Mississippi! You never met a stranger and would help anyone in need - perfect role model. I'm deeply saddened to hear of your passing. Hugs and prayers to your family.

JD was such a wonderful man. He and Sherry were my go to people to sit with at church! I love them. Will miss him dearly.

I am greatly saddened to learn of J.D.'s passing. I knew J.D. for many years and always enjoyed our encounters as we worked to keep the people of East Texas informed. This is a great loss, and J.D. will be strongly missed. My sincere condolences to the family.

We loved JD so much. He was always smiling & very friendly! His disposition was very positive, exhibiting his faith with enthusiasm. Our prayers & thoughts go out to Sherry & their family with overflowing love!
