Gentry Family Funeral Service - Yadkinville Obituary

Jean Tilley Combs 78, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018. She was born in Forsyth County on August 22, 1939; daughter of the late Floyd Thomas Tilley and Bert Cox Tilley. She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church. She retired as a CNA in Winston-Salem with Home Health Care. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Combs, Sr., two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by a son, JR Combs (Robin), two daughters, Tammy Renee Sonafrank (Tom) and Susan Marie Royall (Brent), seven grandchildren, Ashley Combs, Greg Swaim (Maria), T.J. Sonafrank, Shannon Fox, Courtney Roberts (Brandon), Lachelle Howard (Travis) and Matthew Royall (Mandy) and nine great grandchildren, also two brothers, Harold Wayne Tilley and Junior Tilley.  A celebration of life service will be conducted on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. at Gentry Family Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Watts and Rev. Travis Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Gospel Way Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A M at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Gospel Way Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the compassionate care givers at Yadkin Nursing Center for caring so much for Jean. I am so sorry to read of the passing of Jean. I didn't know her, but have heard nice things of her and wish I had known her. I am a descendent of the Mayflower Tilley's and feel we may have been related. My sincere sympathy to the entire family. My prayers are with you all.
