A life well lived must include the arts, especially music and dance. The life of Jean Marie Sonne Abboud epitomized this thought. For over seventy years, music and dance were her companions in schools, church choirs, and community groups. Jean was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1928...

Not sure what to say?

What a bittersweet moment - selfishly sad to know there will no longer be conversations/visits with Jean but at the same time celebrating her transition to Heaven. I also am a student taken under her wing and deeply benefited by the relationship. I very much wanted to be there to celebrate her life, it must have been a beautiful occasion. My heart shares in your loss as there will always be a place in mine marked Jean Abboud.

So sorry to hear about Jean. What a good long life she enjoyed. Many cannot say the same. She was one of those especially strong. Ps. 90:10

I was a student of Jean's at West Morris HS. I was also involved in her dance group. She had such an incredible gift of combining music and movement along with developing young girls. She had a major influence on my life. As a young teen she saw something in me and helped me to believe in myself. I am grateful for her influence and guidance. I had the pleasure of reconnecting with her a few years ago when she searched for some of the members of her advanced dance to offer them a chance of...

My Dad hired Jean at West Morris, he wanted me to mentioned he thought very highly of Mrs Abbound and her whole family!!! He wanted me to say hi to her children and he wishes he could be there. Sam Patton will be there in spirit from Richmond Virginia. Sincerely

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jean and I began in the same year at West Morris. Her daughter Karen was the first name on my first home room roster. Jean was always a most gracious lady.

Our family is saddened by Jean leaving this earth, but happy for her promotion to Heaven, ....not least my father, who was a great friend and colleague at West Morris. Jean was an inspiration to us in class, out on the field, and on the dance stage. She changed my life forever by giving me a love of dance. It was a privilege to host her here in England at our cathedral on her 80th birthday. May she shine bright in her home up with the saints in glory. We will meet again, Jean!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I had the pleasure of singing with Jean in the Enfield Senior Center Goldtones. She was a very sweet lady and always greeted me with a big smile. My son, Frank Dennehy, also worked with Mike on projects for Standard Federal. My sympathies to the whole family on your loss.

Heaven must be an awesome place now that Jeanne has graced it with her gentle soul and bountiful music!
