I met Jean during the winter of 1984. She was my supervising teacher at Beckwith School. Jean demonstrated what it meant to be a good teacher. She often spoke about her family. We had some light hearted conversations about her Judaism. My maternal grandfather, was Jewish , before he came to the United States. He converted to Catholicism , before he married my Polish grandmother. The movie, Yentle was released in December of 1983. We also had some great discussions about that, too. Jean...

Jean was a lovely person whom I enjoyed getting to know through Cross Creek North book club. I will always remember the delicious potatoe latkes she made for all of us one holiday season. She had the cutest sense of humor and such a warm smile. We will all miss her at Book Club. I am so very sorry for your loss, Susie Heritage

I have thought of Jean often and the wonderful time we had at the YMCA. It was at the extra events when we had Jean's casserole for potlucks and also a few breakfasts with Jean and MaryJane Dockery when we had long conversations! Such a lovely and family dedicated woman. I treasure her friendship . Pat
