Not sure what to say?

Jean got me my first job in New York when I came here as an aspiring singer in 1960. She remained an inspiring mentor and generous friend for all these years. Our beloved husbands died the same year, and Jean reached out to become a wonderful travel, dinner, and movie-going buddy. I cannot begin to tell you how much I will miss her, and what a joy it is to know her family.

Thoughts and prayers are extended to the grieving family and friends as your beloved Rest In Peace.

Her Smile, her laugh - We'll always remember Jean, a vibrant woman and good friend. We both send you and your family our deepest sympathy. Sam & Joan in Carmel

I worked with Jean at NYPL Music Divison in the mid-70s while in grad school. She special woman who was very kind and generous to me. I will miss her.

My deepest condolences. Jean hired me to work in the Music Division of NYPL, and I owe my career as a librarian to her. She was a wonderful mentor with a great wit, and she continued to be an inspiration in her later years.

My deep condolences to Jean's family. It was an honor to meet her through Ursula Mamlok in New York and Berlin. She was an extraordinary woman with a great heart who loved life.

Pam and family - your mom sounds amazing. I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories of your mom be a blessing!

Sending my deep condolences, with great memories of seeing Jean often in the circle of her friend, composer Ursula Mamlok, as well as down at Lincoln Center Performing Arts as the always gracious, skillful Head of the Music Division. An amazing woman.

Pam, Michael, Stella, and Ari, our thoughts are with you. It was an honor and pleasure to meet Jean. Thank you for sharing your mother and grandmother with us. Best, Susan and Eliza Fetter
