She was born September 4, 1945 to Elzo and Melba (Smith) Hansell, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Donald L. Braye in 1971 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Read MoreJean was such a wonderful person. She was always very cheerful and would do anything for a friend. She was very devoted to her church and always on the move. Even with her oxygen tank, she never slowed down. She loved her flowers and her animals. She will be greatly missed. RIP

Jean was a good friend and near neighbor of my dad & stepmother, Ron & Virginia Burns. She was a friendly & welcome smiling face on occasion, during the Holiday's! She was also there for us when both parents passed just 3 month's apart, last year. Our condolences to Jean's surviving family, yet there's comfort in knowing that Heaven has made room for one more angel! She was such a kind soul.
