August 30, 1953 - February 4, 2025

Jean Marie Clark (Bailey) 71 of Durant, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Better Living - Senior Living in Walcott, Iowa. Per her request, cremation will be done with no services at this time. Please share condolences with the family at www.rungemortuary.com.

Jean was born to Andrew "Joe" and Dorothy Bailey (Mann) August 30, 1953 in Yankton, SD. Jean graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, NE in 1971. After graduation she met and married her husband James Clark May 6, 1973. She was a military wife who loved moving around the country and living in places like California, Florida and South Carolina. She was a loving mother and grandmother to one daughter Cristina Willey (Clark), and three grandchildren Cameron, Andrew "Drew", and Colton. She worked 20+ years as a floor manager and retired from JCPenney in Muscatine, Iowa in 2014 where she forged many lifelong friendships. She had a love of books, enjoyed playing cards, loved going to craft fairs with her friends, adored animals especially cats, and loved spending time with family; especially her grandkids. Jean was a kind person with an infectious laugh and delightful sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband Jim Clark, Durant, Iowa; daughter, Cristina and son-in-law, Andy Willey Durant, Iowa; grandchildren Cameron, Drew and Colton; and her mother Dorothy Bailey.
