Jean I Cole, 97, of Bangor, PA passed away Tuesday, June 30th, at Slate Belt Health and Rehab. Center.


Jean was born in Newark, NJ on February 28, 1923, a daughter of the late Wasly and Pauline (Fatuck) Dowhanik.


She was the wife of the late William Cole, who passed away in 1994. Jean was employed as a machine operator at IMCO in Belvidere, NJ. until retiring.


She was a former member of the Bangor High Rise Association.


Jean is survived by two daughters, Barbara Prontnicki, wife of John and Kathy Pysher, wife of Roy, a grandson William Pysher, husband of Christine, and two great-grandchildren Jared and Kali Pysher. She was preceded in death by daughter Gloria Cole, two sisters, and three brothers,


Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at www.gaffneyparsons.com.

So sorry to read the passing of your mother. You can be so thankful that you were given the 97 years with her. Although looking through our eyes at her as your mother forever is never long enough. Thoughts and prayers are with you all and God Bless all of you.

Memories of those we love, will keep them in our hearts forever. With deepest sympathy. I have wonderful memories of your mom she was a wonderful resident and friend to me.
