Jean Doran

Mrs. Doran was my Phys. Ed. teacher in middle school. She was great and we all respected her even though she threw foul shots under hand. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Doran was one of my favorite teachers. My condolences to her family.

So sad of hearing of your passing Jean. I will always remember the swim ladies in Seneca, SC. The monthly luncheons and the get togethers at holidays. You were so proud of your boys and the love they showed you. I will miss you. Theresa & Bob Fajardo

Mrs Doran was the best. She was my gym teacher and is often mentioned when sharing memories of my time at school, especially when she gathered a bunch of girls that played slow pitch softball in the area and would bus us to the City schools. We had just our gym clothes for uniforms and the other teams were decked out in uniforms. We always beat them with very large scores at the competition of games. She would say please go easy on them but I think she enjoyed watching us beat them especially...

Just read the article on the death of your Mom. My sincere sympathy to all the family. Jean and Jack were very special to my mom, dad and family. Always loved it when they came to the house. I spent quite a bit of time with the family throughout the years and babysat for you boys at times in Central Square. Thinking of all of you.

Jack and Jean's boys, now men, were indeed a gritty group. I remember touch football with the boys some 60-70 years ago at the American Bridge Works in Elmira Heights, NY on Thanksgiving weekend. Great fun and a fond memory. Jean was a calming influence for us all. Thanks, Pat Doran, Bob and Carol's oldest son.
