Not sure what to say?

I should have signed this book the minute I saw Mrs.Geroch's death notice. I didn't know her, but her husband Dr. Geroch was our family doctor when I was a child. I was born in December of 1946 and I can remember one time I was probably 9 or 10, and had the flu, and Dr. Geroch actually made a house call. WE WERE WALKING BY MRS. GEROCH'S HOME ON MOREWOOD LAST SATURDAY & NOTICED THAT THE CURRENT OWNERS HAD IT FOR SALE. WE REMEMBERED VISITING MARGARET AND MRS. GEROCH THERE, WE REMEMBERED SEEING HER AT CHURCH, & WE CHATTED ABOUT WHAT A LOVELY AND INTELLIGENT PERSON SHE WAS. WHAT SAD NEWS ON SUNDAY IN THE BEACON! I FIRST MET MRS. GEROCH WHEN I WAS 11
AND MARGARET AND SUE OFFUTT AND I WERE BEST OF FRIENDS. I REMEMBER THE SLUMBER PARTIES AT THEIR HOME ON BRAEWICK AND I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT...

Jean Geroch was to me a dear woman of unfailing graciousness, uncommon caring and concern, and formidable mind. She enriched my life profoundly, and I can only wish her all good fortune in the life everlasting. I offer my best wishes and condolences to her family and others who shared her life and mourn her passing.

I am a friend of Jean's who enjoyed her love of music with her as we played recorders with other friends from the UU Church of Akron. We also shared a love of reading and were in a book club together. Jean was a beautiful person and, as her friend, I join in sympathy with her family at this difficult time.
(I recently relocated from Akron, OH, to Akron, PA.
