Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to read of Jean's passing. Her and my dad were first cousins. I had visited with her early this summer and had wanted to go back and see her. I am so sad I did not get back in time. Jean had been wonderful with me giving me info on my ancestors and the scuttle butt of the times. We were supposed to go to Holyoke to see where my great grandmother was buried. She was a wealth of info, and a wonderfully jovial woman who always had a smile on her face. She was the only one in the Goss...

In July 2007, my husband and I visited Jean Goss at her home in Agawam. This was the first time I had met her and the visit was delightful.
Jean and my husband, William George Markham are second cousins and had not seen each other for many years. They chatted about times past and the family members they remembered. I remember that as I child I thought she WAS part of the family. I remember her smile and laugh. Hope lives eternal that we WILL meet again.

I have wonderful memories of Jean Goss. A friend of our family,(truly she became part of our family) VanHeusen, Thorpe and Turgeon.
I grew up sitting on her lap. She showered my with love and kisses my whole life. I will love her forever.

Jeanie has been a part of my life for sixty five years. I considered her my Godmother and/or Aunt, but definately she was a precious friend and important member of our Van Heusen/Thorpe Family.

Jean was with us for birthdays and part of every holiday. She was with us for our graduations, weddings, births, and sorrows. She would drop in for tea in the afternoon, and help make fudge on Sunday nights.
We loved having Jean follow us, or just show up, "Out the lake." or join us...

My heart dropped one beat when I read the obituary stating Jean Goss has left us. A fine person, a Wonderful Friend, I remember the wonderful times the Harrington's enjoyed with Jean, Her company was great and never a day without a big smile for everyone. Love you Jean and will Miss you. Wonderful Memories will always remain in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
