Not sure what to say?

Everyday I think of you Great-ma. It´s so many questions I have now that I am older. I just pray I live a long life like you. It´s hard out here. I miss you so much. Please tell the Supreme Being to remember me

My Very late Condolences to my Karamu Director Jean Hawkins on "Spoon River" she was the epitome of class and a wonderful director for 2 years . I´ve thought about her often over the years and Mrs. Jean, thank you for my love of Dance and theatre.

i wanted to say rest in peace granny. she alone had raised my spirital awareness with her strong faith, and unselfish love . she welcomed me into her family with open arms and a open heart. and i will never forget .

Our sympathy and prayers to the family of Jean Hawkins, for whom we have fond memories of from her service at The Karamu House going back to the mid-1970's. The way Jean lived has positively impacted the lives of generations here and around the world.

My precious Jean Elizabeth,
You will always be a part of me and I thank God that I had the honor of knowing you. You have a very soecial part of my heart always and when I see Chrissy, my daughther and one of your many grandchildren, I see that you live on. Although, you are not physically present but oh the memories Jeanie oh the memories and the wisdom and love and comfort that you shared with many when we needed it. You were always right on time. I have peace Jeanie because I know...

Sending my condolences to the Hawkins family. My memories of "Granny" are so fond. She always made me laugh and I looked forward to seeing her everytime. To you Carol, I love and miss you. Your "Pickle" is praying for you and your family.

Sleep in peace "Granny" and may your journey to the heavens be as joyful as our hearts were in your presence.

My love for Jean lives on in my heart. I am abundantly blessed to have had her in my life. Thank you Hawkins family for sharing your treasure with us. You are all in my prayers and meditations. May the comfort of God increase for you daily knowing that Granny is in His presence.

It is said that when a loved one has passed from this physical life, as long as they are remembered, their light continues to shine and grace all you carry that remembrance with love. May God's mercy sustain the family. Carry her in your hearts. Speak of her goodness and love for you all. She is always with you.
Peace and Much Love

PRECIOUS JEAN,
There are so many memories we have had together. Lots of tears
and lots of fun with our children. Thank you for letting us share. We will
