Jean's brilliant leadership of the speakers series at Trenton State College was a source of satisfaction and admiration for me during my years as Dean of Arts and Sciences. It was a pleasure to get to know both of you and to be a guest at your elegant home. I also recall with fondness your fine joint talk on Dante at the meeting of the Association for Core Texts and Courses in New Brunswick some years ago.
