Jean McLellan HOLLIS

1929 - 2016

Jean McLellan Hollis died peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, in Ponte Vedra, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband, John S. Hollis. A native of Atlanta, Jean graduated from Christ the King High School and the University of Georgia, taught briefly at St. Thomas More Elementary School in Decatur and enjoyed a satisfying later career as a realtor for Harry Norman Realty. She is survived by her children, Ms. Susan H. Hoover of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mr. John M. Hollis of Gulfport, Florida, Dr. Helen M. Hollis of San Francisco, California, Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Hollis of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Hollis of Ponte Vedra, Florida, six grandchildren and one great grandson. A visitation will be held Monday evening, from 6 until 7 with a rosary at 7 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, Brookhaven, Georgia and a Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 10am at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 353 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, Georgia.
