Not sure what to say?

I directed Jean Anne in WEST SIDE STORY for The American Light Opera Company, in 1966. She was a brilliant performer, and one of the most talented and pleasant performers I ever dealt with: prepared, smiling, cooperative, and brilliant onstage. My memory of her remains ever bright. May she sing happily with the agels -- who will be giving her solos, no doubt. May she rest in the peace she sought so long, and so richly deserves.

Burn Brae, 1966, Brigadoon, with Jean Anne was my introduction to live theater. I was heart struck, quit my job and for the next several years was a constant at the theater. I never knew a more patient teacher, actor or friend. I disappeared for twenty years and when I was working with The Capitol Steps in 1990, I saw Jean Anne in "Mame" at West End, and the years dropped away. It was like she had seen me only yesterday. What a loss, to so many who knew and loved her.

I worked with Jean Anne as her "Ito" in West End's production of "Mame".
I have always said, "No one has worked dinner theatre unless you have had the pleasure of working with Jane Beckman, Phyllis Goldblait and Jean Anne Kain.
Almost 20 years after that production, I had the pleasure of playing "Ito: again at Toby's and Jean Anne came to see it. I loved how she respected me as an actor and as her friend.

Jean Anne you had away to touch people in so many ways. How did I get so lucky ? One the most well rounded people ever. You made me feel loved . So many things to so many people. But always my Mother first ! I cant think of anyone who could get away with singing a show tune at a NASCAR race , AND get the standing O !

Jean Anne was the most talented actress ever. In her crowning role as herself she gave everyone a star role in Have a Wild and Wonderful Life. She would throw these highly activated parties lasting all night long with everyone playing, dancing, singing...

The thing I will always remember about Jean Anne, aside from her brilliance on stage, is the kindness she gave to those of us who had the great good fortune to be in her proximity. I always thought that she was the most talented person I ever worked with, and after almost 40 years in the business, I still feel that way.

I met Jean Anne through our mutual friend Fay Jacobs. We later were in "Hello Dolly" together in Baltimore. We became closer when we both moved to Florida. We ran into each other in a theater in Cocoa where we had both gone to see a play. We had no idea we both lived there. From then on, we shared many great times together. I will miss her.

I first Met Jean Anne when I was 16. That was 41 years ago. She was always so sweet to me. She and Eugene used to take me into their home, encourage me about school, and let me sleep on their sofa if I was too tired to drive all the way home. I worked with her at Burn Brae in the early days, and at Colony 7, when Ricky & Maureen were the little children in SOUTH PACIFIC. Years later I worked with her again at Toby's on everything from SWEENEY TODD to FOLLIES.
I loved her very much...
