Jean Elizabeth Fraser Long

Jean was a teacher of mine at Roosevelt High School in Ypsilanti. She was an exceptional teacher and an outstanding role model, especially for young women. I know she was respected by students and colleagues alike. She'll certainly be remembered for her meaningful work. I extend condolences to her family and friends.

Jean was my daughter Alison Winter´s favorite teacher at Pioneer HS. Alison went on to the University of Chicago and then to the University of Cambridge where she was married, and Jean actually married came to the wedding in England. They kept their friendship for many years until Alison died of brain cancer. After Alison´ passing, lJean kept up with learning about Alison´s four children. This was the kind of person Jean was.
