Jean (Mooney) MacLean, of Brick, NJ was born on November 21, 1929  and entered into Eternal Rest on October 22, 2024 at the age of 94.  


Jean passed at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in North Bergen, NJ and lived in Guttenberg, NJ most of her life before moving to Brick, NJ twenty-five years ago.  


Jean was predeceased by her first husband, Christopher E. Mooney, her daughter, Eileen Mooney, her second husband, Neil H. MacLean, and her son, Dennis J. Mooney.  Jean was also predeceased by her parents and her seven siblings.
 
Jean is survived by her two sons Michael and Christopher (Valinteen), her five daughters, Carol, Donna, JoAnn (Gary), Jeanie, and Stacey, and two stepsons, Neil (Tatyana) and Scott (Laura.) She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved little Yorkie, Boomer.
 
Jean loved spending time with her family and friends, her door was always open, she loved cooking and having summer parties which included barbecues and the pool was always open. She adored her family and friends, she will be sadly missed by all who loved her, she was an amazing woman, who exhibited such strength during some very difficult times throughout her life, she truly was our Special Angel.


Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m., Sunday, October 27 at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Route 88, Brick.  At 10 a.m., Monday, October 28 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Dominic Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick.  Cremation will be held privately.
