When one is so universally beloved and respected, words fail to fully capture the impact of that person's passing.

Jean Elaine Olsen Mamales, born January 8, 1954 shed her mortal soul on the morning of February 19, 2018 after a sudden and unexpected medical emergency.

Her sphere of business and personal relations crossed the entire nation. Jean was a respected lending professional who shared her expertise and charming personality on both coasts. Developing lifelong relationships was the most fulfilling part of her working life.

Jean's ability to translate hard stuff to commonly understood terms was a gift many cherished. A clear reflection of her sharing nature extends to her commitment to organ donation, further sharing as much of herself to others clearly in need.

Beyond her professional life, Jean gave freely of her time and resources to the Stanwood and Camano communities, to include the YMCA, Rotary, and the Stanwood Camano Community Center. The only thing Jean enjoyed more than supporting her community was her love of golf. While she was no Nancy Lopez, her love of the game was no less.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Beatrice Olsen.

She is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Jennifer and daughter Michele, with husband Erik, granddaughters Kaylee and Abigail. Son Chris, wife Tessa and granddaughter Zoë. Identical twin sister Joan Olsen Waldron, husband Steve, niece Kimberly Jean, with husband Anthony, great-nephews Gabriel and Zachary. Nephew Kyle, and wife Mollie, great-nephews Wyatt and Max and great-niece Emilie. Eldest sister Judith Olsen, husband Phil, daughter Kelly, husband Mark, great-nephew Luca and great-niece Scout. Niece Tiffany, husband Jeff, great-nephews Leopold and Abraham, and great-niece Beatrice. Nephew Rob Pitt and partner Emma.

We welcome you to join us in a celebration of Jean's wonderful life on March 11, 2018 at the Stanwood Camano Community Center 9612 271st St NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.

Not sure what to say?

Ray. My family and I are very sorry for your loss. We had the privilege of working with Jean at our agency for several years. She absolutely lit up a room or a conversation with her vibrant personality. She will be missed dearly. We cannot comprehend your loss but please let her memory fill you with comfort and joy.

Thinking of you wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.

We are so sorry to hear about Jean. What a sad time for you Ray, and all your family. As our neighbor and treasurer of the Homeowners Association, Jean was always so helpful and cheerful. She will be greatly missed by so many in the community, such was her presence. You are all in our thoughts at this difficult time.

Its difficult to lose such an energetic and giving person. Jim and I send you our heartfelt condolences. Lydia Ferguson

Jean was one of those people who touch us so rarely with true joy of living. Jean sparkled! And she made everyone around her feel like life was supposed to be fun. A caring and compassionate woman, she will be missed. My heart goes out to Ray and her entire family. We were so lucky to have her in our lives.

Ray,
My prayers and condolences for you and your family. God's mercy and love uplift you in this sad time. We are all God's children, and it is hard to be left behind when He calls one of us home. The jewel in y

So, so very sorry for your overwhelming and devestating loss Ray (and Joan)! I'm hoping your pain and your heart will heal. Many fond and fun memories of my Jr. High and early High School years include doing cartwheel's and handsprings in the Olsen backyard, or swimming together at city beach, sleepover's at one house or another of a group of us, practices with Sue Quistorf coaching the first gymnastic team and competing in gymnastic meets. These are only a small part of the happy history I...
