Jean Masland

Jean (Kruthaupt) Masland ,nee, Emma Margaret, formerly of Needham, Fri. Oct. 26, 2012, at Springhouse in Boston. Jean was a championship caliber golfer and was a member of the Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton and the Massachusetts Womens Golf Association. She was a Registered Nurse and volunteered at the Dana Farber and Childrens Hospitals . Born in Pawnee, IL, the daughter of the late Benjamin Kruthaupt and Ida (Osborn), Jean graduated from Tri City High School and earned her Registered Nurse degree at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL . She was the wife of the late Dr. Robert P. Masland, Jr., and the mother of the late William D. Masland. She is survived by her sons, Robert P. Masland, III and his wife Anne D. of Hingham, and Lawrence O. Masland and his wife Pamela Talbot, Esq. of Concord, grandchildren, Robert P. Masland, IV of Weymouth, Gillian E. Masland of San Francisco, Fiona R. Masland of Yilan, Taiwan and Anna M. Masland of Concord. Her funeral service was held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Friday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 AM. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
