Not sure what to say?

I just read about Jean's passing in the UTHSC condolences. I was out of town and missed the article in the CA. Jean was a delight to work with and was well respected by her colleagues at UHSC. She ran a top notch office in the days when paper was hard to keep up with and her organization was tremendously valuable. My sincere condolences to her husband and children. Jean was a fine person and I am proud to have worked with her.

I worked closely with Jean for many years at UT Memphis. She was such a great registrar, and always kept the rest of us in line with the rules and regulations of the academic and records area. She was also a great historian and told wonderful stories and kept us entertained at social events with her stories about people on campus. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. I will miss her. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.
Sincerely,
Pam Moon

JIM, I'M REALLY SADDENED TO HEAR ABOUT
JEAN. YOU WILL BE IN MY THOUGHTS AND
PRAYERS IN THE DAYS AHEAD AND I HOPE TO
TALK TO YOU SOON.

We love you, Mom. Don't worry about Dad. We will see that he is taken care of. We miss you!

Love,
Jim, Suzanne, Andrea, Walter, Scot, Shellie, Lisa & Tim

Jean Melton was a wonderful lady in all respects. AS the Registrar, She carefully managed the registration and records for students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for over thiry years. She was a champion for making sure all student records were accurate and up to date.
She will be remembered by her staff and fellow workers for her kindness and efficiency.
After retirement she remained active in the UTSHC Retirement Association.

My sincere condolences to Ms. Melton's family and other friends. I knew Ms. Melton at UT for many years. She was highly respected and well liked by her colleagues here--a kind lady who was the epitome of professionalism and an excellent role model. I am sorry that I did not learn of your loss in time to attend services.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help at this time.
