What a lovely tribute to a woman who had such a distinguished career and touched the lives of so many in a truly meaningful, heartfelt way - her many students will undoubtedly carry her legacy forward through the lives they touch each day as well. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I'm grateful that I got to know her briefly in my younger years - I remember her as a kind, friendly, caring soul. May the fond memories you have of her bring you comfort now.

Jean's daughter, Julie Gorman, and I were close friends during a period of years in Needham. Our daughters were in school together. My daughter was struggling with learning and Jean volunteered her time to work as an advocate for my daughter to access strategies through special education. I am forever grateful to Jean and my friend Julie for giving my daughter the assistance she needed at that time in her education. My thoughts and prayers are with Julie, Katie, Abby and the extended family...
