Not sure what to say?

Miss you my friend

We first met Jean when she and Bill came to an introductory Beyond War meeting. Instantly Jean and Bill became fully involved in Beyond War. (Jean later admitted to us she had no intention of joining our Beyond War work; she only attended because she was looking for an activity Bill would enjoy.) But Jean did not do things half way. She quickly became a dynamo of energy promoting our Beyond War work, building long lasting friendships including us. We are shocked that we missed Jean´s...

My heartfelt love to Jean's family. She was my neighbor on Silver Ridge Loop and a delightful friend. I have missed her every day since she moved to Touchmark. What an extraordinary lady. Pat Miller

Jean was a wonderful woman and a wonderful neighbor. Travel well, my friend.

I met Jean through our wonderful Thursday morning needlepoint group where I had many Thursdays sitting next to her. Throughout the morning we would discuss everything from movies, books, stitching techniques and alittle politics. Jean always shared fascinating stories of Portland with me (and others) who were new to OR. Her love of all things PDX was contagious. Thank you Jean. You will be so missed. Linda Lanyi

What a fantastic picture of my dear friend...and a real joy to be reminded of all that this incredible woman achieved in her lifetime...and without ever drawing attention to herself. A special woman I hold close to my heart especially in the times we are living in. With love, Tina

I'm so glad I got to know Carol. She was such a champion of the School of Medicine Alliance. I learned about it at our weekly needlepoint group and was delighted to contribute a knitted blanket. As we spent time in our group, it was obvious she was so devoted to her family and a real joy to be around. What an accomplished woman! She will be missed. With deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jean through several years of needlepointing together at In Stitches in NW Portland. What a smart, interesting and thoroughly delightful "stitching friend". Her laugh was infectious! It was a pleasure to share "the back table" with her. My sympathy to her family. Carol Jolly, Washougal
