Jean Mutulo passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve at the age of 84. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, sharing with the world a quiet strength. She taught us how to rise above adversity and never gave up. Jean was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to cook, clean and kept a beautiful home that was open to all who wished to visit. She worked at John Muir Hospital in the nursery, was an avid reader, loved classic films, all types of music, and children; especially babies. Shopping was a favorite pastime. Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Dominic ("Sal") Mutulo; her children: Carol Lee (Mutulo) Lombardo, Vince Mutulo, Dominic and Thomas Mutulo; her grandchildren: Leigh Ann Lombardo-Davis, Damian Mutulo, Vince, Aaron, Troy and Ryan Mutulo; great-grand daughters Kylie Jean and Madelyn Rose Mutulo and great-grandson Vincent Warren Mutulo; daughter-in-law Sandy Mutulo, son-in-law William (Bill) Gardiner and her brother Wayne Keegan of Longview, WA. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nellie Keegan and her brother Carl Keegan and grandson Dominic S. Mutulo, Jr. Family asks those who wish to write a story or memory about Jean bring "2" copies to the vigil. Visitation: Wed. Jan. 2, 6:00pm Vigil 7:00pm at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy: Thurs, Jan. 3, 10:00am at Most Holy Rosary Church, Antioch. Committal services at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Family requests donations to: UCSF California Alzheimer's Disease Center or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in memory of Jean I. Mutulo.
