I have spent the last 10 years here at Shorewood West and I found Jean to be one of the kindest ladies I have ever met. She was always willing to help out wherever and whenever she was needed. I was sad to hear of her passing and she has been missed since she left Vancouver. May she rest in Peace and prayers to her family. Linda Campbell-Kluepfel

The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains..
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

No more kind, generous, happy, inquisitive soul lived than you, Jean Nordstrom. I remember how your face lit up when you won at bridge. I shall always remember you on Dec 6.

Jean was an inspiration to all of her friends. I recall the five Buddhist remembrances: I am sure to become old; I cannot avoid aging. I am sure to become ill; I cannot avoid illness. I am sure to die; I cannot avoid death. I must be separated and parted from all that is dear and beloved to me. Eternity awaits. Love, Ruth Harbaugh
