Jean Marie Peterson

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Jean was such a funny, funny person! Every time I was lucky enough to be at a dinner with her, I can remember all the laughing and joy. She is so deeply missed by her many, many friends.

Jean was the first person I met when I moved to Santa Cruz in 1998. She was part of Dorothy Granada's support committee and she helped me feel at home in my new community. She was an inspiration for right living, for living her values, and I am grateful for her influence on my life.

Beautiful tribute to Jean. Thank you to all who contributed. I love the name given her-- 'field of blessings, gratitude way'. Much love to Lucy and all who love Jean.

I send love to all who knew Jean. I am grateful for the direct and compassionate way she lived her life. We at the Resource Center for Nonviolence are grateful for her work with us, and we always considered Jean a companion in building nonviolence, solidarity, and the beloved community. Jean's life feeds our lives, and much more of this life.
