I didn't get to meet Jean til January of last year-I'm a doctor in the nursing home where she was-but could tell she was a woman of intelligence and wit. We chatted regularly--we had our Public Health Service backgrounds in common. She told me about snippets of her career that she could remember--Berkeley, Yale, the USAID, and something about maternal health care. Thank you for posting more about her life. I knew she was a special lady. I'll miss her.
