Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Jean sounds like she was light who shone brightly in everyone's lives.

She was an elegant and beautiful lady and a WWII orphan sibling. A long time member of the American WWII Orphan Network.

Rest in Peace Dear Jean. You will be missed by all of your AWON family and your lifetime family. I am sure the reunion with your Dad was amazing.

This is surreal, to see Jean on this AWON site is unbelievable. Col. Reid was my husbands commanding officer at Ft. Hood in 1964. We adored both of them and learned so much from them. Beautiful people. I had no idea we had both lost our fathers in war.

Our condolences to the entire family. Ray and Jean Reid were my parents best friends. Jean was a good friend and I will miss her.

Agree that she was quite the lady and a barrel of fun. Will always remember the fun times in Fairfax. What a hostess. So glad she got to visit me in Florida two years ago.

Ray and Jean Reid were the foundation of our Farrcroft family. She was my good friend for 20 years and I am so grateful for having the pleasure of her friendship. As seen in the picture below she was truly the belle of the ball.

Jean was the last friend I had who sent me letters - wonderfully written, chatty letters. I will miss her bright light. My deepest condolences to her family. Lenore Feeney
