Jean Reinhart, 96, of Bangor, PA passed away Friday, February 16th, at Slate Belt Health and Rehab. Center, Bangor, PA. 


Jean was born in Washington Twp., PA on April 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Richard B. Jones and Sarah (Wagner) Leverington Jones.


She was the wife of the late John F. Reinhart, Sr. who passed in 1993. Jean was a 1944 graduate of Bangor High School. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Jaurice Fashions in Bangor, PA. Prior to that, she was a waitress at the former Leverington's Luncheonette. Jean was a member of the St. David's Welsh Society in Bangor, PA. 


She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church of the Slate Belt in Bangor, PA. 


Jean is survived by two sons John F. Reinhart, Jr., husband of Judy, and Richard A. Reinhart, husband of Susan, 5 grandchildren Sarah Reinhart Kiefer, Rebekah Reinhart Mucha, Alissa Reinhart Kornafel, and Richard and David Reinhart, and 13 great-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by 4 brothers William and Thomas Leverington and Richard and Donald Jones, and two sisters Lillian Jones Lohman and Irene Jones Heinsohn.


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 21st at Christ Presbyterian Church of the Slate Belt, 332 Kennedy Drive, Bangor, PA. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, February 21st at the church. Burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Bangor, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
