Jean Roupinian

I am so sad to learn of Jean's passing. Both my wife and I appreciated his magic with needle and thread.
Several times a month in the middle 1980's I would close my store on Main Street and join the dapper Jean for a 2 hour lunch in the back of his tailor shop amid racks of clothes and his bodybuilding weights.
I'd bring the Margaux and we'd break bread over various dried meats, cheeses, grapes, and, of course, the wonderful pate.

I met Jean when I was 16 years old and was working at Foodtown in Somerville NJ as a cashier. We became friends and Jean was such a help to me. He gave the best advice to me to help me through tough times. My car broke down across the street from his Taylor shop years ago and he tied up my muffler. Jean was a father figure to me and I will never forget him ....he made such a difference in my life. RIP Jean I will miss you dearly.

Mr Roupinian always welcomed me into his home and we enjoyed boisterous laughter on many occasions. I met him when I was a teenager and he helped build my self esteem with words of encouragement. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. I will never forget him as long as I live. RIP
