Not sure what to say?

Andy, I've just heard about Jean's passing. I'm so sorry for yours and Neal's loss. Jean was so wonderful to work with; I loved every single time I saw her. She will be missed!

Jean was a valued colleague at NRCS. We worked together for 9 years. She is missed.

Jean and I worked together as artists at National Handcraft in Des Moines, and while I haven't been in touch with her for years, I remember her gentle laugh and the kindness she displayed to everyone she came in touch with. God bless her soul.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Jean's death. She and I played in the orchestra in high school. Jean was a serious student at everything she tried - and music was not exception. As seniors, we both tried out and were accepted into the "American Youth Symphony." We really got to know each other well that summer, as we rehearsed in Pennsylvania and then traveled to seven European countries, giving concerts in each one. But my fondest and most enduring memories are of playing music with Jean, who introduced me to the trio/quartet/quintet she played with, which had lost their cellist. Although I'd only taken up the cello shortly before, she insisted I could play with them and that her friend Bill would write some simple lines for me to play. Some 12 years later,...

Jean was really a cool person, very nice and very real. She will be missed.

Jean was an incredibly kind soul. I always felt listened to when having conversations with her, even as a kid when I may not have been easy to talk to. I feel very blessed for her presence in my life growing up, and will really miss seeing and talking with her at our Quaker Yearly Meeting. Holding all of her family and friends in the light.

It was such a joy when Jean was able to join us at Meeting and fellowship a few times this fall/winter. Jean always seemed to bring kindness and gentleness and caring, true Love, with her where ever she went. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to get to know her and count her among my friends. I am also grateful that our dear, stoic Jean is no longer in pain, but I grieve for her beloved husband and son and his fiance. And I grieve for the many, many other family members and...
