I was very sad to hear of Miss Jean´s. I have been one of her many caregivers for the past 2.5 years, and I always enjoyed her. One story she shared that always makes me smile is that she was the very first girl to wear dungarees (jeans) in the region. How scandalous! Lol... Yes, Miss Jean was a rebel after my own heart! :) She will ever be missed.

Thinking very kind thoughts on Mrs. Wherley - her son David is my fraternity brother and I know how much she meant to the Wherley family. Thankfully she lived a wonderful long life - and I will keep her and family in my thoughts and prayers.

What a privilege it was to visit with Jean over the last several years! She was an engaging, kind woman with a good sense of humor. I´m saddened that I will no longer visit with her, but know that her family will miss her. May you each experience God´s comfort and peace as you grieve, knowing that she is free from the constraints of her bod. As she talked of her failing health she said, "What do people do without Jesus?" Judy Keefer Messiah Lifeways Pastoral Department Volunteer
