Jean and Bill Whittier were some of the most congenial, charming people you would ever have the privilege to meet. I am so sorry to learn of Jean's passing. And to their utterly lovely daughters, Mary and Susan, I want to express my deepest sympathy for their loss. My parents and I were great admirers of the wonderful Whittier family.
