Jean Ross Williams

I lived two doors away from the two generations of Williamses on Paper Street in Westfield from 1956 to 1966. Everyone in that neighborhood knew and cherished our beloved Williams families. Jean was one of my favorite people, a talented artist, and a mainstay of our theorem painting classes in Westfield. All these years later I still bake things from recipes of hers that she shared in class, small reminders of a gracious and lovely friend. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Jean and I started our friendship when our children started school at Abner Gibbs. We would go to Good Table after taking our children to school for coffee. I have a watercolor she painted of our family home on Mill Street which I treasure. Jean was a devoted wife and mother. I remember when Ross was going off to college she checked to see how long various items would take to dry in the dryer and she carefully write down this information for Ross to take along to college.
