Jean Marie Wright
Born: September 4, 1961
Died: March 13, 2021
Jean Marie Wright, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, March 13, at the age of 59.
Jean was born Sept. 4, 1961, to Patricia (Rockwood) and Arthur Dominick. She married the love of her life, Ken, on July 2, 1983, and they raised three children, Shannon, Michael, and Patrick. Jean was the office manager for Carl's Septic Service, a Dominick family business since 1962. She loved her work, especially the opportunity to work with family.
Jean kept a smile and her incredible laugh during every situation, but life truly lit up when she could host her family and friends for a party, meal, or getaway to the Dominick family's Michigan lake house. We forever will remember the special touch she had on family events and won't soon forget the steps to running a proper tailgate. In addition to her own family, Jean always was quick to listen and lend advice to her siblings and their children. She also showed her enduring love and affection to many of her children's friends, to whom she affectionately remains known as "Mama Jean." Jean cherished playing with her grandkids and showing them "the office" at Great Grandma's (Gigi's) house. She enjoyed taking afternoon walks with Ken, weekend visits to see their children and keeping up her garden. Jean stayed active with Zumba and water aerobics classes and was an avid baker, selflessly making cakes and treats for every occasion. Her buttercream frosting is world-renowned.
Jean is preceded in death by her father, Arthur. She is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Shannon (Kevin Druley), Michael (Jenna), and Patrick (Maureen); grandchildren, Carter and Jillian; mother, Patricia; siblings, Kevin (Mary Jean), Timothy (Laura), Bridget, and Patrick (Liz); as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation Friday, March 19, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral, P.C. 108 Illinois Street, Lemont, IL 60439. A private funeral Mass Saturday, March 20, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Info: Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 630-257-6363 or www.markiewiczfh.com

Not sure what to say?

Jean was such an upbeat person. I have been a customer of Carl's Septic since 1994. and Jean offered so much guidance and information to help with any issue that cropped up. Her sunny and upbeat personality made my calls and trips to the office so enjoyable. It is a shock to hear that she has passed. My sincere condolences to your family.

Sending my deepest condolences to Jean's family. I met Jean through the drive-thru of Starbucks, and loved making her coffees on Friday mornings. She had a great smile, a warm laugh, and always offered a kind word. Jean and I used to talk about her late father, Art, often. I pray they are having the best time in the clouds together.
