Jeane's journey through life was one of adventure, faith, and most of all, love of family and friends. She was born on July 26, 1924 to Nelle and Bruce Thurber and grew up in Camas, Washington. On November 10, 2005, Jeane traveled to heaven peacefully from her own home, which was built by her...

Not sure what to say?

Mrs, Soder was my first grade teacher at Nell Hoyt school during the 1975-1976 school year. A few minutes ago, I decided to look her up and saw her obituary. I can´t believe it´s been almost 50 years since I was in her class! Mrs. Soder was a kind teacher. I never recall her losing her temper - she was kind and gentle. If I still had my first grade class photo, I´d post it here. I recall someone coming to our house (on Mason Ave) one time. He mentioned Mrs. Soder was his aunt! She...

I find it difficult to believe that it's been a year already! Aunt Jeanne has certainly been in our thoughts many times this year.

My poor Mom, Helen McLeod, considered Jeanne her closest friend. She has often told me of conversations she wished that she could have with Jeanne; she's even picked up the phone to call many times.

We miss her very much. Roger, Linda and Vic I'm sure your grief has abated a bit, but it surely is a painful process. My blessings to each of...

Hi Mom, It's been a year since I said good-bye to you, but you are still with me every day. Your love and guidance are as strong as ever. Thank you for all the wonderful years we shared together. I look forward to being with you again in the next world. I love you, Roger

Vic, Roger, and Linda,

I was saddened to hear of your mothers death just after Christmas. During my time in Tacoma she was like my Mom away from home. I remember vividly once going to church with her and how delighted she was to have me there and hear her beloved bell choir.

She came to Richmond in the late 80's to see Karen and I for an all too brief visit. When she left Karen remarked to me that Jeane was the perfect role model for what a retired person should...

Dear Roger and Family,
We were saddened to hear about your dear mother, Jeane. Your email announcing her passing showed the strength your family has rallied, and the subtle humor we know so well is part
of your wonderful, playful character.
With the coming festive season, we are sure you will feel the absence of a very special person, but we are sure she will be warmly watching you, possibly 'martini in hand'.. , celebrating what great achievements she has acomplished in her...

Dear Roger and family,

I heard of the passing of your wonderful mother through my parents and a message from Stacy. I was so sad to hear the news. However, It sounds likeyou were all together which I'm sure helped. My memories of your beautiful mother are, intellegent, kind, warm, supportive and loyal. I'm so glad that she got to travel in her later years as I remember it was a passion of hers. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Linda and Ron and Walker,
I am very sad to hear of your Mom's passing. I don't think we ever met her, but from the write-up she sounds like a really wonderful, loving person. May her memory always be with you, to give you comfort and guidance.
Love,
Bob, Brian, and Stephanie Wesley -- and Margaret, in spirit
