Jeanette H. Basantz

Jeanette H. Basantz of Leawood, KS, died November 24, 2002, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at Christ the King Church, 8510 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO. Entombment will be at Chapel of Hope, Mount Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2002, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, MO. Contributions may be made to Sister Servants of Mary. Jeanette was born February 13, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, and was a lifelong resident. She was a Travel Agent for 23 years. She was a Catholic. Jeanette was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a valued friend. She truly exemplified the Christian ideal of selfless love for others, most especially her family. Those who knew her were touched by the special warmth and consideration she brought to all her relationships. She is survived by her husband, Dr. F. V. Basantz, M.D., of the home; daughter, Tiffany B. Klosener and husband, Gregg, of Windsor Heights, IA, and their children, Chase and Francesca Klosener; daughter, Amber Nelson and her husband, Damian, of Kansas City, MO, and their children, Laurel, Evan, Reed, Blake, Emma and Kallie Nelson; her mother, Anita Bickham of Lee's Summit, MO; brothers, Tom Bickham of Blackburn, MO, Leo Michael Bickham and Tim Bickham, both of Lee's Summit, MO; sisters, Dianna Whitehouse of Warsaw, MO, and Cathy Wilson of Lee's Summit, MO.
