Not sure what to say?

Jeanette (Nicknamed Min by Johnny, her husband) came into my life when I was 14 years old. Such a blessing. My hair was very long. Min gave me my first pixie hair cut. She cut my hair until I was in my mid twenties. She became my Wonderful Mother. Always there when I needed to talk. No matter what the subject was. No matter how old I was. She became my hero. Min taught me how to eat properly. Which plate, spoon, knife, and fork to use. She taught about Thank You notes. Over the years I was...

'Mamoo' Faust shall always be remembered by me and both my children. Lisa and David were included in activities out at the 'Club' like swimming parties.. They both remember her making those wonderful big french fries shaken in a brown paper bag. Those little things are the things that one remembers about really centered souls. They are an island of calmness. I remember she was always barefoot at home.Well grounded....that was Mamoo. When she made a granny gown for Patti, she also made one for...

Mamoo taught me so much I can't even begin to describe it all. She taught me how to appreciate, and often remake vintage clothes years before people even talked about vintage. She always recycled way before it was popular. She passed the card playing tradition on to me,and my kids. She was so modest about her talents, and so talented at knitting, sewing, designing clothes and inventing little things. She made great pancakes, and french fries, and never got tired of making them for the many...

This Mother of mine was one of those ladies that created many fond memories. When I was little I remember her being president of the Blessed Sacrament Mother's Club. One of the things that meant was the rummage sale items were brought to our basement for sorting and pricing. I remember her giving one of my friends something from the sale that she wanted but could not afford. In grade school she insisted I learn how to set a proper table. It took me years to appreciate that lesson. Etiquette...

MAMOO,

WHEN I MET THIS LOVELY LADY WAS MANY
MANY YEARS AGO. PATTI AND WE GIRLS GREW UP TOGETHER IN NORTH PORTLAND AND NORTHEAST PORTLAND. I MET HER AT PATTI HOUSE AND SHE HAD ON THIS MUMU AND I THOUGHT SHE WORE THIS OUTFIT AND THATS WHY THEY CALLED HER MAMOO, OR SO I THOUGHT. BUT THAT WAS WRONG IT WAS A NAME THAT REALLY DID FIT THIS WOMAN. SHE WAS JUST MAMOO TO ALL OF US GIRLS WHO
KNEW PATTI IN OUR YOUNGER YEARS AND TO THIS DAY SHE WAS MAMOO. SHE WILL GREATLY BE...

Mamoo
The name after hearing it for the first time made me chuckle. Then as time went on I realized it meant LOVE. The Love she gave to so many. Always there for her family. . I had the honor of knowing her from being Patti's neighbor. She would come over to do what she could for her and her 4 small children so We the parents could "play"!
Somehow, it became a weekly "appointment" for me to style her hair. Those days a lot of back-combing and a headfull of bobby pins hid my...
