Not sure what to say?

I was in the Class of 1965 of Pasquotank Central High School during my junior and senior years. There was no other teacher that taught me more. I loved that two years in her class and made her effort count in my life. I'm so sorry for your loss. Just found her obit on line or would have been there.

Jeanne was a fantastic teacher, colleague, and friend. Our education family at WHS was great. I missed seeing her when I left WHS. Your humor was special.

Jeanne was always dedicated teacher for many years. I enjoyed teaching with her at WHS and enjoyed seeing her in town from time to time. She touched lot of students and will definitely be remembered and missed by a lot of people who know her. Peggy Cochran

Sorry to hear this. Bon Voyage old friend, classmate and Jr. Prom Queen!

I am very sorry for your loss, Stephen. She will be missed by many who knew her as a teacher. It was great to get to know you when you were at All Saints in Southern Shores. Sincere condolences. Sara Munford

Mrs Batten was one of my favorite teachers in school. She taught me to think critically and gave me a love for chemistry. I am so grateful to have had her as a teacher. After our Senior night party in 1977, a few of us stopped by her house to visit. Here she is sitting in my Fiat looking very sporty.

Jeanne and I taught together at WHS for many years. She was a wonderful teacher and role model for each student who was fortunate enough to have her as a teacher. My condolences to her family. Bless each of you and may you find comfort in the days ahead
