Mrs. Jeanne Marie Peddicord Beall, 60, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, June 25 2011 at home with her family at her side, following a brave battle with cancer. Born December 9, 1950 in Frederick, she was the daughter and oldest of six children of Anna Getz Peddicord of Westminster and the late Charles W. Peddicord Jr. She was the wife of Daniel Lee Beall, her husband of 33 years. Mrs. Peddicord was a 1968 graduate of Westminster High School and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Libertytown. She was employed with the U.S. Department of Energy, Germantown for 33 years prior to retirement and where she had many lifelong friends. Jeanne loved crafting and quilt making, was very active in her sons' Scouting activities and also on the FSK District level where she organized day camps. She was the chairperson of the Libertytown Community Park opening. Jeanne dearly loved her family and friends and always had a smile. In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by 2 sons, Roby Lee Beall and wife Denise and Jared Daniel Beall and Leigh M. Norman; granddaughters Dani Olivia Beall and Ava Jean Beall; 3 sisters, Susan Carol Peddicord, Lisa Karen Dustin and husband Steven, and Teresa Ann Peddicord; 2 brothers, Charles W. "Buck" Peddicord III and wife Jeanie and James W. Edward Peddicord and companion Andria Lucia. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Beall; paternal grandparents, Charles W. and Frances Selway Peddicord and maternal grandparents, Joseph A. and Anna Sader Getz. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 9190 Church St., Libertytown, with Rev. Fr. Jason Worley , officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Rd. Libertytown 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 29.
