Jean had purpose. She embraced challenge with focus and a smile.

I was just doing a little more soul searching. She signed my birth certificate as the attendant at delivery (Kings County) Started doing some research and I must say I’m absolutely honored to have been born under her care. May her love live on forever.

It is 2345, Sunday September 9, 2006~and I remember Jeanne Raisler, my exceptionally smart....beautiful.. and vibrant Certified Nurse Midwife Instructor from the University of Michigan-

I was always so proud of her--professional, yet ever-so-gentle and kind;

My entry in this Guest Book is late, having just discovered it. I have previously written tributes to Jeanne on her blog, for her memorial service, for ACNM's Journal of Midwifery & Women's Health, & for ICM's International Midwifery. But, I am honored to add my name here as well. Jeanne and I worked closely on JNM/JMWH's Editorial Board for almost 30 years and I grew to love and respect her as friend and colleague over those 3 decades. Her contributions to midwifery on the local, national,...

Although many years have separated us, I fondly remember our college days....the energy and dignity Jean brought to any gathering. I will miss her but am thankful for our rich past.

With heartfelt sympathy to the family of Jeanne Raisler. May her spirit continue to give strength and hope to our world. Thank you.

Jeanne and I worked together on the Journal of Nurse-Midwifery (now Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health). No matter what the task Jeanne always gave 100 plus percent. Her contributions to midwifery were many. With deepest sympathy to all. Mary Elder.
