GREENVILLE — Jeanne (Pendlum) Wion, age 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Jeanne was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Greenville to the late Ed and Lottie (Metzcar) Pendlum.
Jeanne was a bookkeeper at the former Stecker Co. and Goodyear in Greenville. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville where she was a Sunday school teacher for 11 years and choir member for 10 years. Jeanne was also a member of the Greenville Moose and Eagles.
Jeanne is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Judy Wion of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Jeanne was also preceded in death by her husband, David A. Wion; son, David I. Wion; daughters, Cynthia Wion and Sydney Covault; son-in-law, Bob Covault; sisters, Virginia Bowan, Betty Holmes and Patricia Sullivan; and brother-in-law, Clisba Sullivan.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Greenville Cemetery with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
