Jeanne Wolf Obituary

Jeanne Moore Wolf, 73, passed away on August 18, 2025, in Matthews, North Carolina. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her final moments.

Born in Richmond, VA, to the late Helen Fulp Moore and Dennis Leo Moore, Jeanne was a devoted mother to Amy Wolf Forrester (Cody) of Brooklyn, New York, and Ryan Wolf of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by two grandchildren, her sister Mary Moore Beall of Arnold, MD, and four nieces and nephews.

Jeanne attended Radford University and was a graduate of Queens College of Charlotte. After working in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system, Jeanne dedicated more than 26 years of her career to GE Money, which later became Synchrony Financial.

Jeanne enjoyed baking and cooking for loved ones and was well known in the family and beyond for her exceptional breadmaking. She was a talented artist who especially enjoyed working with oils, pencil and watercolors. Earlier in life, Jeanne was competitive in swimming and synchronized swimming.

Jeanne was previously a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.

A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care providers at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center for their compassion and sensitivity in Jeanne's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte in Jeanne's memory.

Jeanne and I met freshman year at Radford! Instant friends! She lived across the hall. After I graduated we lived together in Roanoke while she commuted to Virginia Tech to take classes. She had a little dog named Puck. Jeanne always amazed me as she could sit down and watch TV and cut her hair! It always looked great. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I attended her wedding outside of Charlottesville. We lost touch with each other. Thought of her often. I know her presence will be missed. She was a fun person.
