The one thing that always sticks out in remembering them was the hard candy she used to give us. We loved visiting with them not only for the hard candy but the enjoyment we got from being with them.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are from visiting my Uncle Ray and Aunt Jeanette on "The Hill" in Lebanon NH and on The River in Thetford Vt. She treated us urchins like her own children, was a wonderful cook and ran a cheerful home that was a joy to visit. Her and Ray had "Cabins" and for years she took care of that business plus the booking from Ray's plastering and she did everything with a wonderful efficiency and with great energy and joy.
