Since my son, Chris, was an elementary school classmate of Madeline, I'll always remember Jeff's beautiful voice and great way with the children who got to hear him sing at a parent-child "Can Do" performance at Mtn. Way School in Morris Plains. My family sends our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time! -- Lisa Swanson

Please accept our condolences. Jeffrey was our neighbor in Morris Plains. We have fond memories of our times with him. It is sad to think we will not be seeing this gentle man again. We feel blessed to have known him.

We were shocked and saddened when we read of the tragic accident that took Jeff from you. A colleague at work was involved in the same accident, thankfully uninjured. I think back to happier times spent on the beach and boardwalk at Wildwood with Jeff, his brother and parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Humphrey/Taormina families

Didn't want to believe the news on Monday, just blown away. You taught me how to play the right chords to the "Rain Song", and now you can finally jam with John Bonham. RIP Jeff...
