Jeff Lewy

So shocked to read about Jeff's passing. We were best of friends at New Trier High School. My family had arrived from Germany in 1956 and it was great to have Jeff as a friend! We both attended Advanced Placement Classes before Jeff went off to Harvard and I to RPI. When I ended up at Stanford I caught up with Jeff a few times in San Francisco but then lost contact until now ... but it is too late to chat with him about old times, Thank you Jeff for being a great friend! I met Jeff in 1973 in San Francisco. He became a fast friend for life. Over the years he would pop up in strange places. A theatre in Minneapolis and a pub in London. I would look up and he would give a little wave. I enjoyed cruising with he and Ed to Hawaii on the Queen Victoria, and to the Western Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess. He was a shining light and is greatly missed.

Remember sept of 1957 last day glencoe beach was open- Jeff- Peter and the rest of the life guard troop swam out past where we were supposed to swim just to upset the lead life guard! My guess 65 years ago to the date today.
