Not sure what to say?

I met Jeff at his annual A-16 talks about trekking in Nepal, and after the talk a bunch of us would go to a Mexican restaurant and hangout for a while, I was planning on going to Nepal to work and I went several years to this talks and the restaurant and Jeff asked if I going to Nepal? Finally, in 1994, I was laid off from my job, and with a sizable severance and unused vacation pay, I went to Nepal and worked there for 4 years. Yes, Jeff was a fun guy and did so many things to help others....

I met Jeff and his sidekick Romero in 1974 when he was teaching Outdoor Leadership at Selwyn. Charismatic, enthusiastic and full of life. He was a free spirit and left an indelible mark on my soul! What a guy!! I’ll never forget him. Judy Gipson Dean

So sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. I took a number of classes from him at SDSU. He was always a favorite teacher and I loved to he of his many tails. Reading about him brings back so many good memories. I remember Romero running around during class. Rest in peace

We are very sad to hear of Jeff´s passing into the next unknown chapter. We loved Jeff and arranged for him to speak at a couple of our corporate events. Jeff & Kate and the kids visited us on our boat in Vancouver before one of their family trips>. We had the pleasure of meeting Jaffe who was travelling with Jeff at Sparkling Hills in the Okanagan. Hope you are okay Jaffe. Catie & Paul

Jeff. Where to start? You changed my path and saved me from the robot I was destined to become. As I sat over a Yerba Mate in my gourd, similar to the one you shared with me in your office over many life changing talks, I was wondering where your path had taken you. To my deep sadness and shock, I came across this site. I first met you when I took Wilderness and the Leisure Experience (the name changed later?) at SDSU. As Romero casually walked in and plopped down next to you as if...

I have fond memories of laughing and cracking jokes with Jeff in elementary school and at The Jewish School both in West Orange, NJ. Neither of us went to Hebrew School, instead the Jewish School taught Yiddish instead of Hebrew, we were taught Jewish music by Janis Ian’s father and had Jewish history class. I will always remember your smiling eyes Jeff.

I’ve lost my compadre.he can never be replaced. He will never be forgotten, very very sadly, jack soule

I met Jeff twice. Both times I said "What a fun guy."
