Jeffrey Smith, age 74, of Brown City died on May 25, 2025. He was born in 1950 in Lapeer, to Graham and Barbara (Klein) Smith. Jeff graduated from Brown City High School Class of 1969.
Jeff and Caryl were united in marriage November 4, 1985.
Jeff was a self-employed professional dry-wall installer and finisher for many years. After retiring, he spent many mornings at the coffee table at the Harrington Inn, solving world problems with the guys. When at home he loved the view from his back porch swing. Jeff enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He also enjoyed pheasant hunting and reading western novels.
He is survived by his wife: Caryl Smith, son: Kurt (Eileen) Smith, two brothers: Kraig Smith and Rand (Sally) Smith, a sister: Deborah (Mike) Hevron and grandchildren: Emma Fick and Cierra Starr Smith, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his daughter, Anjeanette Smith-Fick and a son, Jesse Smith.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Fellowship Bible Church in Brown City. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. A dinner will be served immediately after the service. Following dinner, burial will be in Oregon Twp. Cemetery in Columbiaville.
Memorial donations may be made to Fellowship Bible Church.

I didn’t know Jeff personally but my husband, Tony, enjoyed many mornings of coffee with him at The Harrington. Many memories were made there. My deepest sympathy, Maureen Zimmerman
