Not sure what to say?

Julie and Jake,

Please take solace in the fact that Jeff was respected by all the men and women here at PSP Fogelsville. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. Never once did I hear him lament the fact that he was sick. His courage and patience remain an inspiration to us all. I know that he has found peace. We are all truly blessed to have known and worked with him.

Julie and Jake,

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for the last two years. I learned alot from him and appreciated his patience. He is a good man.

Julie and Jake,

Several years ago I had the distinct honor of meeting Jeff while working at the Fogelsville barracks. Through my interaction with Jeff I quickly learned that he was a good natured person who loved his family and enjoyed being a State Trooper. Jeff touched the lives of so many of his co-workers in such a positive way. Jeff always displayed such a positive, determined, and happy go lucky attitude. Jeff quickly became a role model for all who worked with him. ...

Julie and Jake,

I had the honor of meeting Jeff when he came to Fogelsville. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. What impressed me the most about Jeff was his strength (both physical and emotional). He came to work on good days and bad and always with a smile. I learned a lot from him, including the importance of a positive attitute and to cherish my time with family and friends. Jeff never lost sight of that. He was a proud husband, father and Trooper.

I only had the pleasure of getting to know Jeff during the past year or so. But he taught me a whole new way to define courage and view life.

Some have told me that I never knew the “real” Jeff, but I do not see it that way. I believe that during the time we had together, I got to see the “real” Jeff. Despite the toll his illness was taking on him, it could not change any of the qualities that made him “Jeff.” I found the way that he faced his life path as both remarkable and...

Dear Julie and Jake,

I am not sure if Jeff rubbed off on you two or if you two rubbed off on Jeff--but the family that you are was evident to myself and all of the rest of us. Jeff's heart and strength throughout his struggles--from where I stood, was unmatched by anyone else's in my life--until I met the both of you. You both carried yourselves with the same strengths that I had believed was unique to only Jeff. The three of you are a beautiful family.

Take care and God...

My name is Scott Sotack. I presented the flag to Julie and Jake at the Funeral Service. I was TRULY honored to be a part of the ceremony and was deeply touched. Jeff and I were State Police Cadets together, we were roomates after graduating, and were very close friends. You don't find too many people in this world like Jeff. He was always smiling and laughing, even in tough times. During Jeff's stay in hospice, we would laugh about the old academy days and some of the things we used to...

Jeff was as inspiration to me. He took pride in his work and refused to allow his condition to handicap his performance and attitude. He has taught me to appreciate what God has given me and to take nothing for granted. I believe that those that worked with Jeff are better people for having known him.

My name is Steve RANCK and I was on the firing detail at the funeral. I also worked with Jeff during his stay at Avondale. Julie and Jake know that Jeff was a great man and a terrific Trooper. We will all miss him. Even though he left Avondale several years ago he was and still is remembered down here.
