One year later. Seems like today,that call,that minute when you learn your hero is gone. No words can express that moment,that feeling.Knowing that those thoughts that have come up in the past year can never be expressed and the regrets for the times that they could have and weren't. But there is comfort in the fact that someday those unspoken words can be said in the presence of our Lord and Savior in Heaven.Until we meet again on that shore ,I love and miss you Uncle Jeff.

To My friend. I'll miss you and I'm a better person just from knowing you. Thank you for serving your country and your community. My prayers are with Cindy and your children. I will miss you my friend.

Truly one of the nicest men you will ever meet. As professional a public servant with his peers and the public he served, Jeff was only bested by his humbleness. One might think that Jeff was the topic of Paul's writings in Romans chapter 12 as an example of how to live your life as a man of God. I am so honored to have shared in the same profession as you Jeff but more lucky to have known and worked alongside you. What an incredible life of service you have lived my friend but I am so sorry...
