Not sure what to say?

It was an honor to play sports with Jeff in high school. We became close friends and share lots of great memories, on and off the field. My condolences go out to his family. He was truly a great athlete and a wonderful person.

I am so sad to hear of Jeff's passing. He was such a great human being - and yes as the obit said - a very humble man. My sincere condolences to his wife, kids, siblings, parents, grandkids and other family members. I would like to share a few quick memories- I was pitching against him when he played for Secaucus in a summer league game at Pershing Field in Jersey City. After giving up a cheap homerun to a Punch & Judy hitter, he was up next, and he knew I pissed and was going to throw him a...

My condolences to Jeff´s family. Jeff was a true friend lived around the corner from me. Great childhood memories. I can´t believe he´s gone. Jeff was not only a great athlete. He was a good friend rest in peace Jeff

My condolences to the Bittiger family. Thanks for all the great memories.

SLEEP IN THE LORD'S HANDS ...THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP AND DEDICATION TO BASEBALL. MARK HELMINIAK GM READING PHILLIES 1978 TO 85 AND PORTLAND BEAVERS PCL 1985 TO 1993

Grew up in the neighborhood with Jeff and played baseball together for several years. Always the most talented player on the field, Jeff quietly led us to the consecutive Hudson County 4B league championships in `77, `78 and `79. I vividly remember SHS varsity baseball tryouts in 1977. We had three returning catchers, all seniors, Jeff was a freshman. Coach Vitale had them each throw to second from behind the plate, the seniors first, then Jeff. The look on the seniors´ faces when Jeff...

Our deepest condolences to Alicia and the family. So very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Played with Jeff in Florida, great guy and of course great player. Down to earth, easy to talk to... He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

My condolences to the Bittiger family. I knew Jeff way back in the 7th grade. Before competing against each other in league basketball games, we both made the Hudson County All-Star team and travelled to New Orleans for a National Tournament. I always remember Jeff as a soft spoken and shy kid back then and silently followed his baseball career through the years. May God bless him and all the family and friends.
